Online Application System is an extension of ECAS. The pre-admission process is supported by a set of modules one of which is Online Application System. Whether it is application for admission in an academic institute or it is the application for a competitive examination or it is an application for job.
The online application system provides an interface on the website which is an extension of the Admission form or Candidate Registration interface in ECAS. Though the administrators can do most registrations from the admission and registration interface, but sometimes the number of applicants are more or distant, so the institutes provide a special Online application system on their website. Since the data to be maintained for each applicant is same, irrespective of the mode of application, so the structure of the online application system is also same as the administrator's admission and registration interface in ECAS.
The field structure of the online Application or Online Admission System is dynamic and same as the Admission form and is controlled by the settings. So if we alter or add a field in the Admission form, this change is automatically reflected in the online Applications system.
Online Application system can be equipped with Online Payment Gateway for payment of Application facility. ECAS has the facility of integrated payment gateways from many payment gateway providers. The client institute has to subscribe to the provider to get an account activated which is integrated in ECAS to avail the payment gateway facility in Online Application System.
It is quick and easy to connect the online application form to the website using a simple HTML code snippet, which is generated in ECAS. The client can attach and open this online application form code to a new webpage on their website or they can call it in the <IFRAME> tag of any current webpage to make the form appear a part of their existing web page.
The online application form can be a single step form or it can be a multi level form which asks for classified information in various steps one after the other. For example, some application forms may only ask for te basic student details while others may ask for Academic examination participation and scores and then to upload some pictures of the candidate and then to upload some documents in DOC, JPG or PDF formats.
